Executive Assistant
The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative, organizational, and operational support to SkillsUSA South Carolina leadership while helping advance the organization’s mission of preparing students for successful careers. This role requires strong communication, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, student-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative and operational support to the SkillsUSA South Carolina executive team and leadership.

Manage calendars, meetings, appointments, correspondence, and organizational communications.

Prepare agendas, meeting materials, reports, presentations, and other professional documents.

Communicate professionally with students, advisors, educators, business and industry partners, volunteers, and organizational leaders.

Maintain accurate records, databases, files, membership information, and important organizational documents.

Assist with scheduling, travel arrangements, registrations, and event logistics.

Support statewide programs, initiatives, conferences, and student leadership activities.

Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Assist with social media, website management, newsletters, email communications, and other outreach efforts as needed.

Track deadlines, follow up on action items, and help ensure projects and administrative tasks are completed on time.

Represent SkillsUSA South Carolina in a professional and positive manner.

Perform additional administrative and organizational duties as needed to support the success of the organization.

Position Summary:
The ideal Executive Assistant is organized, proactive, dependable, and passionate about supporting students and career-focused education. This individual plays an important role in keeping the organization’s daily operations running smoothly and helping SkillsUSA South Carolina deliver meaningful opportunities for students, advisors, and industry partners.
The ideal candidate should also be comfortable working independently in a primarily remote environment, communicating with a ride range of stakeholders, managing competing priorities, and adapting to the changing needs of the organization.
Location:
Primarily remote. Most administrative and organizational responsibilities will be performed remotely, with regular communication and coordination with SkillsUSA South Carolina leadership. Occasional in-person meetings, planning activities, organizational functions, and other events may be required.
Pay: Compensation will be based on qualifications, skills, and experience. The employee will be compensated at a flat monthly rate. Approved reimbursable expenses incurred in the performance of job duties will be reimbursed in accordance with organizational policies.
Schedule: This is a part time position averaging approximately 5 hours per week. The position requires flexibility, as additional hours will be necessary during periods surrounding conferences, major events, and other high activity periods.
The Executive Assistant is expected to attend and provide support at the following SkillsUSA South Carolina events:

Washington Leadership Training Institute (WLTI) - held annually in September

Fall Leadership Conference (FLC) - held annually in October/November

State Leadership and Skills Conference (SLSC) - held annually in March

National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) - held annually in June

Time: This is a part time position. Periods of time surrounding conferences will require additional time. This position is expected to attended WLTI, FLC, SLSC, NLSC. This role will average 5 hours of work per week.
